Anthology (2012) Guidelines

Format
   Submit digitally, by e-mail attachment, in rich text format (RTF); 12 point Times New Roman font, using Standard Manuscript form FOR PUBLICATION (NOT CONTESTS) found at Formatting Tips at whitecountycreativewriters.org
   Also, do not number the ms pages or include the author/title header.

Quality:
   Submitted entries must have won public recognition or passed through a critique group’s scrutiny.

Genre(s)
   Limit 2 mss one for each of two different categories: Fiction, Non-fiction, or Poetry.
   Word limit: 2,500 words in Fiction and Non-fiction or 100 lines of poetry
   Also in separate file: please submit a brief bio, 150 word limit, and appropriate photo.

Time line
   Deadline - August 1, 2011 so the book is market-ready by AWC June, 2012

Fee:
   A $5 reading fee for each submission must be sent to the FWCA’s treasurer with a copy of the first ms page of the submission:

Limits:
   No graphic horror, violence or sex or extreme profanity content.

Rights:
   Published work may be submitted as long as the author has the rights to it.
   The proposed copyright will return rights to the author of any accepted work after the anthology is published.
   Proposed statement:
     No part of this publication may be reproduced, stored in any retrieval system or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, recording or otherwise, without the prior written permission of the Fiction Writers of Central Arkansas AND the specific author.

Selection:
  The final selection will be made by the non-member, impartial editor. There is no guarantee of inclusion.

ANTHOLOGY PRODUCTION TIMETABLE
Monday - August 1, 2011 - Editorial Board starts selecting and editing manuscripts to include.
Monday - January 14, 2012. Editorial Board submits formatted anthology pages to printer.
Friday - April 1, 2012. Printer delivers ordered copies of the printed anthology.
